Frequently Asked Questions
We put together a list of questions most often asked by our users along with the answers. Take some time to read through this list to solve common user problems . If you cannot find the answer to your question here, email the rmoov Help Team.
Q. Where do I put my list of URLs?
A. Once you have created a campaign, click the List icon. You can now add URLs by one of 3 methods:
- Type them straight into the text area (making sure that you include the http://)
- Copy and Paste a list into the text area
- Upload a CSV file.
Q. When will rmoov start sending my emails?
A. Your campaign will remain inactive until you click the blue Start icon in your campaign list. The Start icon does not become available until all of the domains in your campaign have been confirmed.
Q. How do I confirm Domains?
A. To confirm the domains in your campaign list, click the orange X icon to open the detail screen, then click "ICANN Pull". When the Domain owner information has updated, click Save Domain. Work your way through the list of domains until all are confirmed.
Q. How often will rmoov send emails to Domain owners?
A. Once your campaign has been activated, rmoov will send follow-up email reminders for any active domain in your campaign list every 3 days. When a webmaster clicks the link to notify that links have been removed from their domain, you will receive a notification in your rmoov Message center.
Q. What should I do when I receive notice that links have been removed?
A. If the notification comes to you via the Message Center you don't need to do anything. rmoov will automatically mark the links reported via the webmaster link as removed and mark that domain completed in your campaign list. If you are notified of link removals by return email, you will need to go into your campaign (Click the list icon) and click the orange "Stop" button to mark the domain completed. If all domains in a campaign have been completed, the campaign will automatically be closed.
Q. What if Domain owner details are not updated when I click "ICANN Pull"?
A. Sometimes rmoov cannot load domain information via the "ICANN Pull" because different domain registries store and present data in different formats, or because the domain is no longer registered. If clicking the "ICANN Pull" button does not load domain information, click the yellow alert icon and rmoov will open a separate tab containing the full content of the ICANN screen. You can now copy and paste the information into the domain detail screen in your rmoov campaign. If you prefer, you can type information directly into the screen. This can be helpful if you have an alternative email address.
Q. Do I have to fill in all of the information for a domain?
A. Minimum information required to confirm a domain in your campaign list is Owner Name and email. When emails are created in your campaign, the domain, owner's name, owner's address and link URLs are all included within the text of the email.
Q. How do I get webmasters to report links that have been cleaned up?
A. When setting up your Campaign, check the "Webmaster Link" checkbox. This will tell rmoov to include a personalized link in each email for the webmaster. When the links are removed the webmaster can go to the link and with just one more click, notify rmoov that the links have been removed.
